About Perpletter
Perpletter is a daily markets publication written by Paul Delor. Every weekday morning, before the US market open, it covers three things that actually matter for crypto markets that day, with a clear view on why they matter and what the implications are. Written for people who take digital assets seriously.
What’s inside
Each edition starts with the macro picture, because crypto doesn’t trade in a vacuum anymore. Fed decisions, oil prices, jobs data, geopolitical shocks: these things move Bitcoin now, and pretending otherwise doesn’t serve anyone. From there, three stories, chosen because they change something about how you should be thinking about markets that day. Then a full asset scorecard (ten tokens, five analytical layers each, a single score and a verdict) so you always know where conviction sits and where it doesn’t.
The scorecard doesn’t tell you what to buy. It tells you where the evidence points and how strong it is. Most days, the honest answer for most assets is: no trade. That discipline is deliberate. Analyst notes are only written for assets with a real signal, if an asset isn’t covered on a given day, it means nothing has changed enough to say something worth reading.
Who it’s for
Perpletter is written for people who take digital assets seriously. That includes portfolio managers, researchers, and traders who want a fast, rigorous morning read, and it includes people who follow crypto closely without necessarily running positions, and want analysis that doesn’t talk down to them.
It’s not for people looking for price targets or token tips. There are plenty of those publications. This one is for people who want to understand why prices are moving, what the institutional money is actually doing, and how to think about the days ahead rather than the hours behind.
A note on the verdicts
The scorecard uses a five-layer quantitative framework (macro environment, market structure, derivatives, technicals, and sentiment) weighted by their historical reliability as directional signals. Each layer is scored independently, then combined into a single weighted total. The resulting verdict is a starting point for thinking, not a trade recommendation.
